Come And Get ‘Em!

Thanks to all of our faithful readers, who are making our two-for-one sale such a success… because of your good retail lovin', we have almost met our goal, which is our registration fees for Herb Camp! HOORAY!

We have gotten soooooo many requests for larger items in the shop, and this week on my shopping forays the Universe obliged! I just shot these tonight so you all would have a chance to buy them as part of the Sale… look at the goodies that are in the shop as of this very moment!:

In other news, I have listened to my heart/your encouragement/ all the signs of a sentient solar system and finally made the leap…. as of June 1st I will be cutting back to part time at my receptionist day job. That means more time for art, more time for home cookin', more time for friends, and more time for…. shopping, of course!

Meanwhile, happy Friday, and Happy May Day!!!!!!!!!!!!! Amber and I will be celebrating Beltane together, since it's one of our very fave holidays. And you bet a blog will follow….

Spreading The Gunne Sax Love

In the last week two of our fellow "indie fashion bloggers" (I always feel the need to put that in quotes) have posted a blog about Gunne Sax dresses and the Violet Folklore girls (that'd be us) who love, wear, and sell them.

Milla at The Girl Who Married a Bear posted this blog right after she took advantage of our current Buy One Get One Free sale and scored two of our best Gunnies!

And Katie at Zombie Lace, who has left us many a Flickr and blog comment expressing the way we have inspired her to lower her hemline and wear a prairie dress in public, posted this blog featuring some lovely pictures of herself in one of the absolute sweetest Gunnies I have ever seen. I just adore the pale yellow color.

My own mother wore these dresses back in the 70s and my love for them runs deep. Here I am in my favorite Gunnie from my own closet that my mom bought me off eBay last Christmas (and that I plan on wearing every Christmas and whenever else I have a chance for the rest of my life).

It's almost that time of year again… time to put on wacky outfits and dance in the sun and learn about life and love and the mysteries of womanhood. No, this is not a fantasy land, it's an event called the Northern California Women's Herbal Symposium! This is the first year that Amber and I are going to go together, and we are soooooo excited!!! It's like camp… for grown-ups who love plants and magic! Truly there is nothing better. So we have almost gotten our registration fees together, but we need one final push to get there. We figured that everyone loves a good sale, so why not throw a fabulous one of our own? And why not really do it up and make it (drumroll please)… BUY ONE GET ONE FREE! (Of equal or lesser value. No shipping charge on the second item.) What the heck. We just put up tons of new stuff, and we want you to play dress-up!!!

You can go about this one of two ways:

1. Buy the two (or four– or six– or twenty) things you want, and write us a Convo or a message on your Etsy transaction saying "I'm a blog reader!" and we will refund the price of the second item to your Paypal right away!

2. Send us a Convo on Etsy, or leave us a comment here, saying what you want, and we will reserve the items for you with prices pre-adjusted!
